IFRS 17 Reporting Pipeline

Contributed to insurance reporting workflow automation for an IFRS 17 transition.

Python · R · Google Cloud Run · VBA · Office JS

Context

IFRS 17 changed how insurers report insurance contracts, increasing the need to connect policy and financial data with reporting calculations and disclosures. This project supported an insurer’s transition by automating parts of its reporting workflow. The description here is about the software workflow; it is not a claim that the system itself establishes accounting or regulatory compliance.

How the workflow was structured

An Excel-based interface connected users to cloud-hosted processing. In broad terms, the workflow brought data validation, transformation and reporting tasks together, rather than leaving each step as a disconnected manual operation.

My contribution

I contributed to data validation and transformation, integration between the Excel interface and backend processing, and support for financial reporting workflows. The technologies included Python, R, Google Cloud Run, VBA and Office JS.

Client-specific processes are omitted. No quantified performance result or regulatory-compliance claim is made here.
