Tshono
A Botswana-focused job search product that brings opportunities together and links each result to its original listing.
Nuxt · Typesense
The problem
Finding a job can mean checking multiple sites and social channels, repeating searches, and then figuring out whether a listing is still relevant. Tshono is a focused search product for Botswana that aims to make the discovery step less fragmented.
The product
Instead of acting as an employer or handling applications itself, Tshono helps people discover openings and continue to the original listing for the full description and application instructions. Keeping that hand-off clear matters: the source listing remains the place to confirm details and apply.
Implementation
The interface is built with Nuxt, with Typesense providing the search layer. That separates the web experience from the system responsible for retrieving matching listings. The specific listing sources, ingestion process, and refresh schedule are not described here, so I’m not making claims about coverage or freshness.
What to evaluate
For a job-search product, the useful questions are practical: are relevant roles easy to find, are listing details clear, and can a job seeker reach the original application page without friction? Try the live product to assess the current experience.
